2017 Ontario Fishing Regulations

With spring just days away, you may be thinking about fishing season. The 2017 Ontario Fishing Regulations were released earlier this year and there are a couple things to make note of.
Smelt can be caught using dip or seine nets, between March 1st - May 31st. As pickerel (walleye) will be spawning during this time, please be careful to only take smelt.
There are size limits for certain species of fish "S-" refers to Sport Licence possession limits and "C-" refers to Conservation License possession limits. Know your limit, and fish within it!
