Draft Lake Management Plan

Approved in Principle by SDRA members at the Annual General Meeting held July 5, 2014
In the next few months, members of the Lake Management Planning Committee will consult with local businesses and interested members of the Addington Highlands public as well as government and non-government organizations to obtain their comments and request endorsement. Key among these will be the Councils of Addington Highlands and the County of Lennox and Addington; the sitting MP and MPP; the regional offices of the Ontario Ministries of Natural Resources and Environment responsible for Skootamatta District; Quinte Conservation Authority; Ontario Provincial Police; Public Health; the County Fire Marshall; the Federation of Ontario Cottage Associations (FOCA); the Ontario Federation of Hunters and Anglers; and the Addington-Frontenac Stewardship Committee.
If sufficient support is received, a motion will be made to accept the ammended version of the Plan at the SDRA’s 2015 Annual Meeting.
